Bonehead Design Award Series

This series is devoted to some really dumb
designs that we have encountered. They are dumb for obvious reasons, as you will see. We
don't single out any particular manufacturer.
Browse through the awards listed below.
When you get done, you'll see what contributes to the cost of automobile repair.
First
Bonehead Design Award
The first award goes to Chrysler. Take a look at what havoc an airbag deployment
does!
Second
Bonehead Design Award
Chrysler takes it again. On late model Neon's, the radiators
get wasted on minor impacts due to a poor design!
Third
Bonehead Design Award
This one is well known among those that repair Jeeps. Minor
front end impacts bend the mounts on the front drive housing (banjo)!
Fourth
Bonehead Design Award
See what happens when a fuse block on a 1996 Dodge Stratus
gets crunched in a minor collision!
Fifth Bonehead
Design Award
Today's bumpers are not what they used to be. See why here!
Sixth Bonehead Design
Award
The Ford Econoline van has a wacky design when the outer
side panel needs to be replaced!
Seventh Bonehead
Design Award
Check out the Ford air bags that wreak havoc when they
deploy. Hold on to your hat and pocket book!
