Case Number Three
If you were to look at this car
at first glance, it does not look that bad. Check the gaps around the deck lid and it
gives you an indication that something is amiss. Keep in mind that in many rear end
impacts, the car that does the striking is usually in a nose diving position. This forces
the impact to go under the bumper. So, if you get hit in the back make sure you get on you
knees and look under the bumper. Look below this picture and you'll see why!
OK, its not the greatest picture, but if you
looked under the bumper this is what you would see. That's pretty extensive damage to the
rear body panel and floor.
Make sure you look underneath (that goes for
appraisers too!)
